Netiquette in Online CoursesNetiquette in Online Courses

Average of 0 ratings: Not rated yet

When working in an online course, we do not always see the people who receive our written and audio messages on the other side of the screen. This can obscure the need for social etiquette that we would otherwise follow in our face to face communication. Netiquette, short for net etiquette or internet etiquette, are behaviors and manners expected of people communicating with one another over the internet. As with all etiquette expectations, netiquette provides guidelines to allow individuals to clearly and successfully communicate with others and avoid misunderstandings. The Netiquette in Online Courses module shares guidelines for internet communication organized into five distinct categories.
